Nauru

Linguists guess that the word Nauru is from the Nauruan word Anaoeo which means "I go to the beach".

The whole country is just one island, the smallest in Oceania, and its 8.1 square miles or 21 square kilometers, the whole edge of the county is 12 miles or 19 kilometers long yes the WHOLE edge of it, meaning that you can take a jog in the morning all the way around the island and be back in time for lunch (what an exercise well now you can say I waked a whole country once).

Nauru is the ONLY country that doesn't have an official capital, most would say Yaren because that's where the parliament is, but it is only listed as a "main district" by the country, with 1.3k people living in Yaren it is the 3rd most populated part of Nauru, Arijejen in Aiwo with 2.4k people, and Menen in the Menen distinct with 1.4k.

For boats, it is nearly impossible, as the sharp coral reefs can pierce ships' hulls.

A road titled the "island ring road" which circulates the whole island, the Nauru Detention centers cooperate with Australia and are used for illegal immigrants, the centers are used as a containment area for immigrants illegally trying to get into Australia by sea, not only the normal population Nauru has a fluctuating amount of people in the detention center, the highest amount of illegal immigrants was about 1.2k in 2014,

Nauru gets less than 1k people a year in tourists.

Nauru only is 34 miles or 56 kilometers away from the equator, Nauru sticks out as one of the 3 "great" phosphate (bird poop) rock islands, Guano droppings from migrating birds have made Nauru one of the richest in this limited recourse, they did have the highest GPA in the world when they opened up the mines for phosphate, after decades of mining the phosphate the GPA dropped a significant amount.

Nauru knew that the phosphate would run out eventually so they put trust funds, but the funds got mismanaged to the point that they almost went bankrupt, since the country is mainly a cash-only country so if you want to come here get your money first before boarding the plane, fishing, and the small amount crops, most goods come from Australia and New Zeland, most of the country either stocks up on non-perishables or others, Chinese, western, and spam fried rice are common here, this diet has made the World Health Organisation say the Most Obese in the world, as 70% of the country is obese, and 94% overweight.

The population of 11.2k people and it's the 3rd least populated country after Tuvalu and Vatican city, there are about 15k Nauruans globally, 8k live in USA and 1k live in Australia, which means that there are more Nauruans living abroad than in their country.

Australian dollar as currency (no surprise as they are nearby Australia).

The Nauruan navigational system is the only possible on Nauru, the armor of the Nauruans was coconuts and thick coconut fibers, and some still follow the Frigate bird fishing method for fishing.

Space saleds

Living in a martian colony is neither ideal nor horrible, others dream of it and some call it a nightmare due to the fact of the low atmosphere the no ozone layer (the one on our earth to protect us from the heat rays of the sun) which does not exist on mars, most sci-fi movies have either protein bars or pellets to keep people alive and breathing but if you want to say a salad or other leafy greens. The lack of water and the number of sun rays would kill most plants.

Well, most likely you have to eat them / grow them indoors, although we can grow plants in less-lighted areas it still can't beat the sun and the earth's soil compared to the dark. But scientists are trying to figure out how to grow plants in pitch-black darkness.

Despite being around for 3.4 billion years photosynthesis is a pretty terrible process, photosynthesis takes carbon dioxide, water, protons, and energy. the plant turns into sugar molecules for the plant to eat and grow.

One group found that they could use the same ingredients that the plant uses to grow, and instead of using energy they used electricity, a process named electrocatalysis was used to convert Carbon dioxide and water to oxygen and asetate (which asetate is the main ingredient to vinegar) after the group mixed the asetate with some nutrients the plant absorbed the new food source, the plant can take the carbon from the asetate the same way it takes the carbon from the plant sugar.

So electrolysis takes the steps of photosynthesis and cuts down on the unnecessary steps.

With this method, the group was able to grow algae and yeast in total darkness and grew faster with the method than growing naturally, the algae grew 4 times as much and the yeast grew to 18 times larger.

They did the same with other plants like rice, peas, tomatoes, and lettuce, but those were not grown in the dark as they were testing if the plants could take the electrocatalysis solution.

All the crops used the asetate to a decent degree, but you must be wondering "hey if this method is so good why arent we doing it already?",

"Well my dear reader, its because the more carbon the plant had the weaker the roots and leaves of the plant was".

The group's most likely answer is the potassium in the asetate that was slowing down the growth of the plant, but with the modifications of genetics we could produce plants that are designed to take more asetate than normal and add asetate to the overall build of the plant, and if this idea works then cites and other places of high amounts of populations can use the plants and grow them indoors so that the amount imported goods won't be as much, well the process still requires sunlight but less than the photosynthesis, "BUT there is no reason to use the sun hmmm?."

Possibly one day the globe can get meals, that were not cultivated by sunlight.

In the Shade of the Qur'an by Dr Abd Aziz pt: 1

The Prophet has a stronger affinity to the believers than they do themselves. And his wives are their mothers. As ordained by Allah, blood relatives are more entitled ˹to inheritance˺ than other believers and immigrants, unless you ˹want to˺ show kindness to your close associates through bequest This is decreed in the Record.

And remember when We took a covenant from the prophets, as well as from you O Prophet, and from Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, son of Mary. We did take a solemn covenant from all of them

ShipWrecks

Ship Wrecks are known for diving but are held in high regard as a spot for fish to hide from fishing boats, so places like La Casa de Pesci and Australia's Underwater Museum made statues as a way for fish to hide from illegal fishing (thawing on the ocean bed).
