Today I learned about Tonga:
The capital is Nukuʻalofa.
The Currency Tongan paʻanga.
The Population is 105695 (2020).
And with a load of places to visit like: The Ha’amonga ‘a Maui Trilithon, Talamahu Market and Mapu’a ‘a Vaea Blowholes.
If you love Nature, you’ll be happy to hear that migrating Humpback Whales often travel into Tongan waters to breed and give birth.
Bats are the only wild mammals that call Tonga home.
Rugby is the Natural sport.
Swimming on a Sunday as it is illegal because Sundays are seen as rest days in Tonga and you are not allowed to do laundry, clean your house, or work.
Mapu a Vaea in Tonga, it’s a collection of natural blow holes in the rock which can shoot water 30m in the air as the waves crash over them at high tide.
Tonga grows squash, coconuts, sweet potatoes, vanilla beans, cocoa, coffee, and bananas; they also catch fish
The main exports include squash, fish, vanilla beans, and root crops.
Tongan language are often designated as ‘Talking Chiefs'.
The average life span here is 73.03 years (in 2016).
