Prophets Legacy by by Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 3

Today I learned about The prophet's Legacy:

"No one who has atoms weight of pride in his heart will enter paradise." A man said: "What if a man likes his clothes to look good and his shoes to look." He said: "Allah is Beautiful and loves beauty. Pride means rejection of the truth and loo, looing down of people."

People declared they did not want to follow the Prophet because most of his followers are poor, and have low income, don't be shy when reading Qur'an, and don't' be full of pride, don't think you are so great, don't look down on people, if you believe yourself more skilled than everyone, if the followers had questions, they would ask the prophet, it is more helpful to say you didn't hear, than to be quiet and not understand at all.

"There are three to whom Allah will not speak on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them not will He look at them, and theirs will be a painful torment: an old man who commits adultery, a king who tells lies and a poor man who is arrogant."

An old man cheating, the older you get, the less distress, a king is the most powerful, and he lies, no one is going to hold him accountable, what does a poor man has to be arrogant about, they have no reason to do a bad thing, but they do them any-way there are so many distractions, instead of choosing distractions, we chose Allah.

"Among the best of you are those who are best in attitude."

"Beware of stinginess, for stinginess destroyed those who came before you."

Don't be stingy, and if you are greedy, people will fall into poverty, greedy people will go for anything to get money,  if you give money you will have blessings, because of our own desires, we deprive ourselves of rewards from Allah.

"The most perfect of  the Believers in faith is the best of them in attitude, and the best of you are those who are best to their wives."

Greeting your wives is part of being the best, the prophet praised people who are good to their wives.

'Abdul-Qais: "You have two characteristics which Allah loves, forbearance and deliberation."

You are calm, and ok when handling stress and anger, you can think before you do things, some people are having these things already, but some acquire it over time, never hastiness when doing things, in a harsh situation, consider how you feel, have sabr, if someone skipped the line, then how do you feel, if that person cuts the line because his wife or sister is in the line, then that is ok.

"Verily Allah is Kind and loves kindness, and He rewards kindness in a way that He does not reward harshness."

When you deal with people, if you deal with them kindly then that is good, but someone comes and punches you, you want to fight back, and you should, but you should be kind to people trying to hurt you, be nice to people when asking, being gentle and kind to people you will have benefits.

" When one of you sneezes and praises Allah, and say Yarhamukallah (may Allah have mercy on you) to him, but if he does not praise Allah, then do not say it to him."

It means, assist him to get better, fix his concision, it is like don't exposing their mistakes, don't be nice because it is nice, be nice to people because you are a good person, Islam is aiding the Islamic brotherhood in Islam, try to form a society that people around you to be friendly to one another, and help each other, "don't be I will figure it out"  kind of person.

"Eash of you is a shepherd and easy of you is responsible for his flock. The ruler is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. A man is the shepherd of his household and is responsible for his flock. A woman is the shepherd of her husband's house and responsible for her flock. The servant is the shepherd of his master's wealth and is responsible for his flock."

Like a ruler is a shepherd to his kingdom, and fathers and mothers are shepherds to their kids, a shepherd is responsible for the well-fare of the sheep, safety, food water, and guide the sheep not to go into somewhere dangerous, every single sheep the shepherd is responsible if a farmer asks you to take care of his/her sheep, and if you come back with one sheep departed then you can't discuss about losing the sheep, a woman is response-able for the household and everything inside it,

"Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise and whoever disobeys me has refused."

If you know about Islam's paradise, then why would we refuse to go into Jannah, the people who rejected to go to Jannah, are people who did not accept Islam.

"Whoever introduced into this matter of ours anything that is not part of it will have it rejected."

The matter of ours is Islam if something is perfect, don't' correct it, like the Qur'an don't' change the information of Islam if people give fake claims about Islam, and they have no proof, it is our responsibility to not change the Qur'an.
