Eeman by Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 6

Today I learned about Armour of Eeman:

(These are the main Attack points that the non-muslims use against Islam) .

The Treatment of Women in Islam:

1. Unfair Laws.

2. Inheritance as a case study, Inheritance is a difficult subject, Scenarios: Men Inherit more, Women inherits more, Women inherit more, and only Women can inherit.

3, Equality vs Justice, Men and women are separate, people confuse Muslim countries and Tridion, if someone does Zina in the OLD days, the family members kill the person who commits Zina, but that is NOT ALLOWED in Islam.

4. Islam vs Culture.

5. Islam and the rights of women.

6. Laws that prefer women over men.

(Murder, Robbery these are Capital Punishments).

Capital Punishments:

1. Allah's right to legislate, We can't change Allah's laws, He is in control.

2. Clear texts, Qur'an Sunnah.

3. Consensus, Jima'.

4. Allah's Justice vs Moral Relativism, The justice of Allah is knowledge of Allah.

Eeman Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 5

Today I learned about Armour of Eeman:

Prophet Muhammad's Prophethood:

1. His truthfulness and morality, His honesty

2. The Qur'an a proof, The Qur'an

3. The legislation, beliefs and values, There are books about the prophet's characteristics. his miracles, and Teachings, and his Biography.

4. Miracles as proof, and Miracles like Musa parting the Sea.

5. Announcements by previous prophets,

His life:

1. His Marriage to Aishah.

2. The execution of Jews.

3. His marriage to Safiyyah, because she was Jewish.

His Marriage to Aishah:

1. Her view of her marriage, she was married when she was 6 years old.

2.  Social tradition, and lived with her when she was 9 years old, he did not kidnap her, Aishah had all the rights.

3. Puberty and Adulthood, Her puberty reached when she was 9, Allah made Puberty the line between being a Child and an Adult

4. Are the Hadith Authentic.

The Execution of Banu Quraydhah:

1. The context, The prophet had a treaty for the safety and defence of Medinah, during the battle of the trench, the prophet's army attacked the city from inside.

2. Who was killed,  700+ people were killed in the battle of the trench

3. Treaty of Madinah, The army of the Prophet went against the prophet also known as TREASON.

(They say The prophet was Barbaric, WHICH IS ABSURD).

Misconceptions about Islamic law:

(The foundations of Islamic law: Qur'an, Sunnah, Jiwa and Qiyas, the Qur'an and the Sunnah does not talk about the internet or online shopping.)

1. The treatment of Women, unfair laws, Inheritance as a case study, Equality vs Justiice, Islam vs Culture, Islam and the rights of women, Laws that prefer men over women.

2. Jihad.

3. Capital and corporal Punishments.

Eeman by Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 4

Today I learned about Armour of Eeman:

01 Misconceptions about the Qur'an:

1. Grammatical mistakes, Arabic was the language of the prophet and his people, and grammar was created after the Qura'an, all the tribes of dialects and they had different grammar, and the simple rules of grammar. They can read the Qur'an and understand it, so that is ok if they can understand it.

2. Scientific errors, Science is just an understanding of the world we live in, science will run out of answers, they will run out of answers.

3. Contradictions, Nothing happens with Allah not noticing, if you face a calamity, then look at your sins, because your sins will make you face calamity.

02 His Prophethood:

1. His truthfulness and mortality, When he was in the cave and was scared, and ran back home and left, and was afraid.

2. The Qur'an as proof, reading the Qur'an is beautiful and hearing it from an Imam is breathtaking.

3. The legislation, beliefs and values, The prophet did not leave anything out.

4. Miracles as proof, one of the miracles Prophet Muhammad did was he cut the moon (not your butt), in half.

5 .Announcements by previous prophets, previous prophets taught the new prophets how to answer the questions about Prophethood, the prophet accepted gifts, but did not accept was charity.

Eeman by Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 3

Today I learned about Armour of Eeman:

01, Free will and Accountability, all the choices we make we are accountable for.

02, Nature of this world: Temporary tests, everything will not last forever, if you have an earthquake, you will recover, nothing lasts forever, we all know that Allah is testing us in this Dunya.

3. Wisdom and benefits of Tests, it teaches us Sabr and the rewards of sabr, if you are going through difficulty will be rewarded, if a Muslim goes to difficulty your sins will be wiped away.

03. Perspective Matters, if a man on a train and there are kids running around, then the man says "Can you Move your kids" if the father says "Sorry for my kids, their mother died at the hospital, I don't know how to tell them". Are you going to feel sorry or not.

04. Why is there a delay in answering prayers, and why do some prayers remain unanswered?

01. No one tests Allah, No one asks questions to Allah if your prayers are not accepted, don't ask "Since Allah is not excepting my Dua, so there is no Allah," you can't ask Haram from Allah, like "O Allah please grant me Wine" you can't do that, no you can't.

2. Personal Evaluation, You can't just ask a dua and expect it to happen.

3. Definitive Evidence vs Circumstantial, I don't know what he said.

4. wisdom of Delay, Asking Allah for something that is an act of worship.

5 All texts to be considered, Islamic research must be rigorous so that no facts are left out.

05. How is divine justice reconciled with Allah's will and the prior writing of peoples' actions?

1. Revelation explains the relationship, if you want to go to Hell then do sins, then if you want to go to Jannah then stay away from sins and do good deeds.

2. Confusing Allah's knowledge and Will with compulsion.

3. Human Will and Causes/Means, We were made with a will, so we can do what we want.

4. Divine Will and Wisdom, this is around the same thing.

06. The Qur'an.

1. Linguistic Miracle - the challenge, everything in the Qur'an is a miracle, Allah is challenging you to make something like it, the Qur'an was made 14 century ago, and NO ONE can make a surah the same way as the Qur'an.

2. Information, Allah knows that there are people who are not Muslims but act like Muslims.

3. The Laws, When Allah looks at the laws, he looks at the laws he sees the whole picture, when we look at the laws, our laws are full of holes.

4. Facts about the world, our belief in Allah we have a broad understanding of Allah.

Eeman Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 2

Today I learned about Armour of Eeman:

1. The Fitrah.

2. Creation.

3. Perfection in creation.

4. Care of creation.

The Sun and earth are perfect, everything is perfect, Allah has created the world has made us able to breathe here, and gravity, Allah has made this world perfect, Allah made ecology and biology, Allah made us able to survive in this Dunya.

Allah's Actions (He has Power, knowledge, wisdom)

Allah did not make us for fun, people don't understand that Allah can create the world and people are dying, but he can stop them, that is a MASSIVE misunderstanding, we don't question Allah, he questions us.

1. Complete belief in Allah (He will never we unfair to any of us, we except the things that Allah has given us).

2. Belief in his absolute perfection (We believe his attributes).

3. Acknowledging that created beings are limited (Knowing that we are not infinite we are limited, we are limited to things).

4. Allah sent prophets and revealed books (Allah and His Messenger revealed the Qur'an, your parents don't buy you everything, so you are not a spoiled kid).

1. Who created Allah (1. No one created Allah the question is like saying a "square circle is real". He is beyond this world. 2. If a watch just appears here whatever occurs has a cause of occurrence.)

2. Natural laws are sufficient (1. We understand laws like the laws of aerodynamics. 2. Allah is above us in knowledge laws only let us know how that happens. 3. If it can't be proven scientifically tested then we can't understand it).

3. Evolution (Science is wrong here, we don't know "where life comes from", Evolution can only happen once life already exists, a cell is arranged a special way so it did not just happen to be like that).

4. The Multiverse (This is very popular in movies and video games, there is not much evidence of this).

1. Creation of the Creator (When Allah made us, he gave us Wisdom).

2. Creation and Purpose, Intent,=.

3. Creation, Purpose, and nature of the Creator (Allah did not FORCE us to worship Him, the more you know about Allah the more you want to worship him.)

4. Knowing the Creator (Allah created the world, he has control over everything.)

5. Relationship between Creator and Creation.

Eeman Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 1

Today I learned about Armour of Eeman:

First, we will talk about Allah.                                                                                                  Second Qur'an.                                                                                                                                Third The Prophet.                                                                                                                    Then the Islamic Law (shariah).

1. The Fitrah                                                                                                                                      The Fitrah is your natural instincts, Turtles digs a hole in a beach and lays eggs and covers the eggs with sand, how do they know where there are born, and why does it go to the beach. Humans can recognize good and evil, babies know emotions, and who is their mom or dad, the Fitrah recognizing good and evil, people who grow up hearing that language (Chinese) then they can speak it, leaning a language when you are an adult is hard but as a child, it is easier because they grew up hearing it, humans can understand good and evil, innate knowledge, everyone will feel the need to feel ("Spiritual") humans are programed for language, understanding good and evil, and the need to worship, there was a girl who was in like locked up, there were people only came in for to give food when someone rescued her, then she could not speak.

2. Creation

"A chair has a carpenter, and the moon has a creator" - someone in the class,                          if a table appeared in the middle of the room would you think "hey, that got there by magic" no, someone put that there, magic is not logical.

3. Perfection in creation                                                                                                            Were you created from nothing no. Did you create yourself?. (Why did Allah ask these questions?). Were you created by something (The Creator is not created, Allah is not created he is the creator), meaning complexity in the creation, the bacterial cell is so complex and tiny, on the island of Papua new guinea has more than 500 languages.
