The Prophets Legacy by Sheikh Tariq Appleby 13

Today I learned about The Prophets legacy.

"Pray as you have seen me praying."

The oldest person will lead the prayer, the eldest among you will be the leader of the prayer.

"Do not pray against your children, do not pray against your servants, do pray aginst your wealth, lest that coincides with a time of response when Allah grants the wishes of those who offer supplication, so He answers your prayer."

Don't pray "May Allah Curse you," no you should say "May Allah guide you," Anger and frustration make you dua bad thing, Muslims can control your anger, Muslims can contain your anger if a parent asks for "may my son/daughter be punished," and then he breaks his leg.

"All the sons of Adam and the best of those who are those who repent."

Everyone makes sins, therefore we ought to repent, or ask for forgiveness, the sons of Adam are Us, human beings, the best of us know that we did a sin, and we know about the sin, so we repent.

"Trading insults with a Muslim is evildoing and fight him is kufr."

Don't call people names, people who were bullied when young, lack courage, do everything with the right intention, don't fight other Muslims, but if you are sparing then that is fine.

"I have not left behind after I am gone any fitnah (test) more harmful to men than women."

Our items can be a distraction, but if it makes you miss solat then that is serious.

"Whoever would like to have his provision increased and his lifespan extended (and to be remembered after he dies), let him uphold his ties of kinship."

Family ties, your connection to your family, nowadays it is easy to uphold family ties, holding family ties in Islam is good.

"Allah has forbidden to you disobedience towards your mothers."

Don't be disobedient to your mother, when you be disobedient to your mother it can harm her emotionally or physically.

"The pleasure of the Lord is in the pleasure of the father and the and of the Lord is in the wrath of the father."

If your father wants beer from a shop, you can't do that, because beer is haram.

"Whoever can guarantee to me what is between his jaws and that is between his legs, I will guarantee Paradise of him."

If you can guarantee everything you say (swear words), and if you can avoid Zina, then Allah can make you in Paradise.

"If there are three, two should not converse privately to the exclusion of the third."

It is ok if the third person allowed it then that is ok.

"The one who is riding should greet the one who is walking, the one who is along should greet the one who is sitting the small group should greet the larger group, and the younger should greet the older."

If you are in a car then the person is riding a bicycle, then great the person on the bicycle, or greeting the older person.

"Du'a' (supplication) is worship."

It is making Allah and supplication to Allah, seeking Allah, only he is the one who can answer your dua.

"I saw a man who was enjoying the blessings of Paradise because of a tree that he cut from the road that used to annoy the Muslims."

He got rid of a tree that was on the road and he moved it, if you can remove something harmful in someone's life, then Jannah is granted to the person who did the deed.

"Seeking knowledge is a duty upon every Muslim."

You need to seek Knowledge as a Muslim.

"My delight has been made in prayer."

The prophet was happy when he was praying, understanding the Solat is a good feeling (learning Arabic).

"Prompt your dying ones to say La ilaha illallah."

Like someone who is on their deathbed, when you are going to die,  say: the La ilaha illallah, before you die.

"No one among you should eat with his left hand or drink with it, for the Shaitan eats with his left hand and drinks with it."

It is not allowed to eat and drink with your left hand, try not to follow Shaitan, everything Shaitan does we must not follow him."

"For every disease, there is a remedy."

Everything disease has a remedy, do even the worse ones, has a cure.

"Allah raises some in status by means of this book and He lowers others by means of it."

Those who gain successes, and those who have humiliation and defeat and loss, those who learn the Qur'an will have successes, and those who rejected then they will be defeated.

The Prophets Legacy by Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 12

Today I learned about the Prophets Legacy:

"When Allah wills good for a person He grants him understanding of the Religion."

We worship Allah and Allah only, if Allah wants good for you, how to know is general and specific things in Islam.

"May Allah make radiant the face of a person who hears something from us and conveys it as he heard it, for perhaps the one to whom it is conveyed will understand it better than the one who heard it."

It is not only from his words, it does not have to be from Hadiths, you want to read the Qur'an accurately and with precision, you tell another right from the source, you narrate it from the source, meaning you don't change anything or add some things, the same things as the Hadith.

"Whoever follows a path seeking knowledge thereby, Allah will make a path to Paradise easy for him"

Whoever travels and seeks knowledge then Allah will make an easy path to Jannah, everything you do, you are following a path, one who looks for knowledge LOOKS, then Allah will make a path to Jannah easy too.

"Whoever tells a lie about me deliberately let him take his place in Hell."

This is about the Prophet, there are Muslims who make lies to the Prophet, Muslims fabricate Hadiths for. Fame, being admired. And it is Haram, it does not matter how you are lying people make Hadiths because people don't learn the Qur'an. If you make it unintentional it depends, if it was a mistake then no sin, if you spread a Hadith that was neglected to search about the Qur'an, make sure that it the hadith authentic.

"The best of you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it."

We have learned this already but here we go again.

"Read the Qur'an, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection interceding for its companions."

The Qur'an will help you in Jannah, but you need to be a Reciter of the Qur'an if a Muslim goes days without the Qur'an then he leaves the Qur'an's rewards.

"The closest that a person is to his Lord is when he is prostrating so say a great deal of du'a'.:

When you have your forehead to the mat, that is where you are closest to Allah.

"Prayer in congregation is superior to the prayer offered alone by twenty-seven degrees."

It is like doing business and one place has a 10% return of money, and the other place has 27 times of money, try to pay in Jamaat, you can pray in Jamaat with one other person too.

The Prophets were asked: "Which deed is the best?" He said: "Prayer offered when its time first begins."

What good dees are best, Praying often when the Prayer starts or praying on time, or the earliest time, if you pray hours late for no reason, that is sinful.

"Whoever prays Fair in congregation, then sits remembering Allah until the sun rises, then Prays to rak' ahs, will have a reward like that of Haji and 'Umrah." The Messenger of Allah said: "complete complete complete

If you do it then the Reward is an extremely good reward, you can only stop when the sun is high in the sky.

"Between a Muslim and kufr, there stands his giving up prayer."

Whoever does not pray then that is very sinful, also meaning Abandoning the Solat, this only applies to people who don't pray because of LAZINESS, but if you pray five times one day and four on the other, that is bad.

" A prostitute saw a dog on a hot day that was circling a well, with its tongue hanging out because of thirst. She drew some water for it with her shoe, and she was forgiven."

Prostitute is people so make money out of Zina, because of giving water to the dog, she was forgiven by Allah, a moist liver is because giving food or shelter to animals, we don't know did she stopped Zina, or not, Allah knows best.

The Prophets Legacy by Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 1

Today I learned about the Prophets legacy:

(From now on it will be named the Prophets legacy).

"Do not envy one another, do not artificially inflate prices against one another, do not hate one another, do not turn away from one another, do not undercut one another. Be, O slaves of Allah, brothers."

What is the extra in envy, I want it, but I can't get it, and you want something bad to happen to the thing, it is ok to have jealousy to people who read the Qur'an if you see someone and they have something that you don't have, you feel like you want it, and say "I want that person would lose it", don't hate someone, do not turn away from another person, do not undercut someone, don't envy someone.

"The Muslim is the brother of his fellow-Muslim. He does not wrong him, let him down or despise him."

Don't inflate the price of something because someone is purchasing higher than the old buyer.

A Muslim is the brother of a fellow-Muslim.

If you saw a Muslim boy being robbed, and if you can prevent that, but you don't, that is not a good attitude.

Don't mock someone, don't insult one other in argument, if you someone something, and he is ok with it, but if it is not a good nickname, then it is not allowed, don't despise other Muslims.

"Support your brother whether he is a wrongdoer or is being wronged." A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I will support him if he is being wronged but if he is ringing others, how can I support him?" He said, "By stopping or preventing him from wrongdoing that is supporting him."

"One of the reasons, people take alcohol, is because of emotional times and trauma, don't try to cope with your pain with Alcohol, if you see someone being buried, try to help.

"The right of one Muslim over another are five: Returning the gratings, visiting the sick, attending funerals, accepting invitations and saying yarhamukallah (may Allah have mercy on you) when someone sneezes."

If you are sick, you have the right for people coming over,
if someone dies, go and pray for him/her,
if you are invited to go somewhere, if you have a valid excuse then ok, but if you lie about you can't make it.

"No person conceals (the faults of) another in this world but Allah will conceal him (his faults) on the Day of Resurrection."

We all make mistakes and we all have faults, if you see your friend doing something that is not ok, should you expose him/her? you should consult the person first before consulting their parent, fear Allah, either you accidentally discover, or you spy on that person.

"Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him uphold ties of kinship."
If you haven't seen a person or family member for a long time, call them, (because everyone has a phone now).

"Whoever takes care of two girls until they reach puberty, he and I will come like this on the Day of Resurrection" - and he held his two fingers together."
