The Prophets Legacy by Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 10

Today I learned about the Prophet's Legacy:

"Whoer missis 'Asr prayer, it is as if he has lost his family and his wealth."

This is for people who miss the prayer on purpose, 'Asr is the time of working, if you miss the prayer, you can pray it after.

"The one who withholds Zakah will be in the Fier on the Day of Ressurection."

You need to do Zakah (money to give), if you don't give Zakah then you will go to Hellfire.

"Fasting on the day of 'Arafah, I hope that Allah will cause it to be an expiation for (the sins of) the year that comes before it and the year that comes after it."

It is removing the sins from last year and next year.

"No people ever withhold Zakah except that Allah tests them with famine."

This is also about Zakah, so pay Zakah, if you live in a community, then ask others to pay Zakah

"No one ever eats any food better than that which he earns with his own hands. The Prophet of Allah Dawood used to eat from that which he earned with his own hands."

If you work for the money to pay for it, it feels better when you earn it.

"Indeed charity extinguishes the wrath of the Lord and it protects against the evil death."

Meaning that giving charity protects you from Allah being angry, if you make your own money than giving charity is better.

"Doing acts of kindness will protect one from calamity and a bad end."

Like helping someone who needs help carrying his/her things.

"Whoever bears arms against us is not one of us."

No Muslims harm other Muslims, don't use sharp objects to hurt people or pointing at people with firearms (guns).

"Upholding ties of kinship increases one's lifespan."

Allah knows when we all will die, upholding friendship or family ties, it does not meaning visit everyone you know, it means don't cut the ties, call your relatives if you haven't seen them for a while.

"Verily charity to a poor person is charity; charity to a relative is two things: charity and upholding ties of kinship."

Giving charity to a poor person is good for someone, or giving gifts to family, it is better to give charity to family, than a poor person.

"O Messenger of Allah, to whom should I show kindness?" He said: 'Your mother, then your mother than your mother, then your father, the next closed and the next closest."

Because your mother was pregnant, gave birth to you, and fed you, that is why that your mother deserves more kindness, than your grandparents, then siblings, then cousins.

"The worst of the people in status on the Day of Ressurection will be the one whom people avoid for fear of his evil."

Because of his bad character, harming others, you don't want to be a person "Why is HE here?" if you treat people well then others will treat you well.

"A man used to land money to people and he used to say to his servant: 'If you come to one who is in difficulty, let him off; perhaps Allah will let us off.' Ana when he met Allah, He let hin off."

It is ok if they genuinely can't give the money back, then it is forgiven.

"Siwak cleanses the mouth and pleases the Lord."

It is like tooth-brush, The prophet used the Siwak on his death bed.
