The Prophets Legacy by Sheikh Tariq Appleby 13
Today I learned about The Prophets legacy.
"Pray as you have seen me praying."
The oldest person will lead the prayer, the eldest among you will be the leader of the prayer.
"Do not pray against your children, do not pray against your servants, do pray aginst your wealth, lest that coincides with a time of response when Allah grants the wishes of those who offer supplication, so He answers your prayer."
Don't pray "May Allah Curse you," no you should say "May Allah guide you," Anger and frustration make you dua bad thing, Muslims can control your anger, Muslims can contain your anger if a parent asks for "may my son/daughter be punished," and then he breaks his leg.
"All the sons of Adam and the best of those who are those who repent."
Everyone makes sins, therefore we ought to repent, or ask for forgiveness, the sons of Adam are Us, human beings, the best of us know that we did a sin, and we know about the sin, so we repent.
"Trading insults with a Muslim is evildoing and fight him is kufr."
Don't call people names, people who were bullied when young, lack courage, do everything with the right intention, don't fight other Muslims, but if you are sparing then that is fine.
"I have not left behind after I am gone any fitnah (test) more harmful to men than women."
Our items can be a distraction, but if it makes you miss solat then that is serious.
"Whoever would like to have his provision increased and his lifespan extended (and to be remembered after he dies), let him uphold his ties of kinship."
Family ties, your connection to your family, nowadays it is easy to uphold family ties, holding family ties in Islam is good.
"Allah has forbidden to you disobedience towards your mothers."
Don't be disobedient to your mother, when you be disobedient to your mother it can harm her emotionally or physically.
"The pleasure of the Lord is in the pleasure of the father and the and of the Lord is in the wrath of the father."
If your father wants beer from a shop, you can't do that, because beer is haram.
"Whoever can guarantee to me what is between his jaws and that is between his legs, I will guarantee Paradise of him."
If you can guarantee everything you say (swear words), and if you can avoid Zina, then Allah can make you in Paradise.
"If there are three, two should not converse privately to the exclusion of the third."
It is ok if the third person allowed it then that is ok.
"The one who is riding should greet the one who is walking, the one who is along should greet the one who is sitting the small group should greet the larger group, and the younger should greet the older."
If you are in a car then the person is riding a bicycle, then great the person on the bicycle, or greeting the older person.
"Du'a' (supplication) is worship."
It is making Allah and supplication to Allah, seeking Allah, only he is the one who can answer your dua.
"I saw a man who was enjoying the blessings of Paradise because of a tree that he cut from the road that used to annoy the Muslims."
He got rid of a tree that was on the road and he moved it, if you can remove something harmful in someone's life, then Jannah is granted to the person who did the deed.
"Seeking knowledge is a duty upon every Muslim."
You need to seek Knowledge as a Muslim.
"My delight has been made in prayer."
The prophet was happy when he was praying, understanding the Solat is a good feeling (learning Arabic).
"Prompt your dying ones to say La ilaha illallah."
Like someone who is on their deathbed, when you are going to die, say: the La ilaha illallah, before you die.
"No one among you should eat with his left hand or drink with it, for the Shaitan eats with his left hand and drinks with it."
It is not allowed to eat and drink with your left hand, try not to follow Shaitan, everything Shaitan does we must not follow him."
"For every disease, there is a remedy."
Everything disease has a remedy, do even the worse ones, has a cure.
"Allah raises some in status by means of this book and He lowers others by means of it."
Those who gain successes, and those who have humiliation and defeat and loss, those who learn the Qur'an will have successes, and those who rejected then they will be defeated.

The Prophets Legacy by Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 12
Today I learned about the Prophets Legacy:
"When Allah wills good for a person He grants him understanding of the Religion."
We worship Allah and Allah only, if Allah wants good for you, how to know is general and specific things in Islam.
"May Allah make radiant the face of a person who hears something from us and conveys it as he heard it, for perhaps the one to whom it is conveyed will understand it better than the one who heard it."
It is not only from his words, it does not have to be from Hadiths, you want to read the Qur'an accurately and with precision, you tell another right from the source, you narrate it from the source, meaning you don't change anything or add some things, the same things as the Hadith.
"Whoever follows a path seeking knowledge thereby, Allah will make a path to Paradise easy for him"
Whoever travels and seeks knowledge then Allah will make an easy path to Jannah, everything you do, you are following a path, one who looks for knowledge LOOKS, then Allah will make a path to Jannah easy too.
"Whoever tells a lie about me deliberately let him take his place in Hell."
"The best of you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it."
We have learned this already but here we go again.
"Read the Qur'an, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection interceding for its companions."
The Qur'an will help you in Jannah, but you need to be a Reciter of the Qur'an if a Muslim goes days without the Qur'an then he leaves the Qur'an's rewards.
"The closest that a person is to his Lord is when he is prostrating so say a great deal of du'a'.:
When you have your forehead to the mat, that is where you are closest to Allah.
"Prayer in congregation is superior to the prayer offered alone by twenty-seven degrees."
It is like doing business and one place has a 10% return of money, and the other place has 27 times of money, try to pay in Jamaat, you can pray in Jamaat with one other person too.
The Prophets were asked: "Which deed is the best?" He said: "Prayer offered when its time first begins."
What good dees are best, Praying often when the Prayer starts or praying on time, or the earliest time, if you pray hours late for no reason, that is sinful.
"Whoever prays Fair in congregation, then sits remembering Allah until the sun rises, then Prays to rak' ahs, will have a reward like that of Haji and 'Umrah." The Messenger of Allah said: "complete complete complete
If you do it then the Reward is an extremely good reward, you can only stop when the sun is high in the sky.
"Between a Muslim and kufr, there stands his giving up prayer."
Whoever does not pray then that is very sinful, also meaning Abandoning the Solat, this only applies to people who don't pray because of LAZINESS, but if you pray five times one day and four on the other, that is bad.
" A prostitute saw a dog on a hot day that was circling a well, with its tongue hanging out because of thirst. She drew some water for it with her shoe, and she was forgiven."
Prostitute is people so make money out of Zina, because of giving water to the dog, she was forgiven by Allah, a moist liver is because giving food or shelter to animals, we don't know did she stopped Zina, or not, Allah knows best.

Qur'an by Sheikh Gabriel Keresztes No. 22
Today I learned about the Qur'an:
And We did not give Prophet Muhammad, knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a message and a clear Qur'an
To warn whoever is alive and justify the word against the disbelievers.
Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, grazing livestock, and [then] they are their owners?
And We have tamed them for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat.
And for them therein are [other] benefits and drinks, so will they not be grateful?
But they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that perhaps they would be helped.
They are not able to help them, and they [themselves] are for them soldiers in attendance.
So let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, We know what they conceal and what they declare.
Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm-drop - then at once he is a clear adversary?
And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"
Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing."
[It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite.
Is not He who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the likes of them? Yes, [it is so]; and He is the Knowing Creator.
His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, "Be," and it is.
So exalted is He in whose hand is the realm of all things, and to Him you will be returned.

The History of Islam by Dr. Yusif Abdul-Jobbar No. 3
Today I learned about the History of Islam:
It is going to be about Muslims ruling India:
The Mughal Empire, The first mosque in India at 629 C.E,
Malik Bin Dinar, one of the first Arab propagators of Islam to come to an Indian country.
The Muslims controlled India 711 - 1857, they ruled India for 600 years.
India has a large Hindu population, in Islam, the rulers of India did not oppress other religions.
Mughal dynasty is from Mogul or Mongol, the Mughal empire left Allah, the Mughals left the path of Allah, so they perished.
The first Muslims came to India in the 8 century.
The Empire was founded on religious toleration, it is Persian, Mongal, and Indian culture,.
The Mughals brought India together, They made a:
Centralized movement and brought smaller kingdoms together.
They had Persian art and culture and made architecture and the architecture was used for the Taj Mahal.
They had Religion Tolerance.
And better Education, and took account of peoples needs.
I don't know who they are (we do a Kahoot (Quiz game) every class so these names will be in the Quiz):
Babur.
Jahangir.
Akbar.
Aurangzeb.
Jahan.
Mohammed Bin Qasim.

Qur'an by Sheikh Gabriel Keresztes No. 21
Today I learned about The Qur'an:
He does not punish them if the Prophet is one of them.
And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.
They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth."
It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us.
Indeed the companions of Paradise, that Day, will be amused in [joyful] occupation -
Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not worship Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy -
And he had already led astray from among you much of creation, so did you not use reason?
That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn.
And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation; so will they not understand?

The History of Islam by Dr. Yusif Abdul-Jobbar No. 2
Today I learned about the History of Islam:
When Muslims ruled Spain:
When Spain was under rule by Muslims the Muslims had control for 800 years, everyone was treated well,.
711 A.D. Tariq Bin Zayed went to Gibraltar, 17000 people vs 100000, men, They went on boat, Gibraltar and he said "My dear brothers, we here to spread the message of Allah. Now, the enemy is in front of you and the sea behind. You fight for His cause. Either you will be victorious or martyred. There is no third choice. All means of escape have been destroyed."
The boats were burned down, so if they lost they can't escape, and the 17000 men won.
Ibn al-Nafis, he was a doctor to learn about blood circulation.
Abbas Ibn Firnas made a human glider.
Abu al-Qasim al-Zahrawi was the most famous surgeon in the middle ages.
Ibn al-Bayter, he was a botanist, he found that plants were beneficial for people.
The Muslims took the Persian and Roman empires, with the might of Allah at their arms, they took both empires on at once.

The Prophets Legacy by Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 9
Today I learned about the Prophet's legacy:
"Whoever persists in offering twelve rak' ahs of Sunnah (prayer), Allah will build for him a house in Paradise: four rak' ahs before Zuhr two rak' ahs after it, two rak; ahs after Magrib, two rak'ahs after 'Isha' and two rak' ahs and two rak' ahs before Fajr."
If you pray these 12 rak' ahs, you will get a house in Jannah.
The Messenger of Allah said: "Verily Allah says: 'I am the third of two partners so long as one of them does not betrays the other; but if he betrays him then I depart from among them."
This is for business, two people running a business if you don't beray your friend Allah will help you, but if your friend is taking more money then you, Allah will leave your business.
"Whoever removes a worldly hardship from a believer, Allah will remove one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection from him."
If you give food to a poor believer, helping others is beneficial in this world and the next, you can't take money to Jannah.
"Whoever grants respite (a debtor) who is in difficulty, Allah will grant him relieve in this world and the hereafter."
If you forgive the debt of someone then Allah will help you in the hereafter and this world, if someone you know has debt then if you can help them, it is also a good thing.
"The one who drives to help widows and the poor is like the one who strives in Jihad for the sake of Allah or the one who prays at night and fasts during the day."
Meaning if you do this then you will get the rewards.
"Allah will help a person so long as he is helping his brother."
It is like helping someone who needs help to carry bags, Allah will help you if you help another.
"O Messenger of Allah, the mother of Sa'd has died; what clarity is best?" He said: "water." So he dug a well and said: "This is on behalf of Umm Sa'd (The mother of Sa'd."
If you can give running water and electricity, then that is good.
Muslim people, treat Animals greatly.
"Whoer contently prays for forgiveness, Allah will give him a way out of every difficulty and relief from every worry, and will grant him provision from where he did not expect."
Allah will provide people who ask for forgiveness, a way out.
"He does not thank Allah who does not thank the people."
Part of showing gratitude to Allah is thanking people who are good to you, be grateful to people, is it is like thanking Allah directly.
"The smell from the fasting person's mouth is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk."
Harming by breathing in someone's face while you are fasting, Allah loves that is because you fast, for the sake of Allah, a male deer, the musk that you can take it is dried and sold as perfume, the musk is for marking territory.
"There is no one who fasts one day for the sake of Allah, but Allah will remove his face a distance of seventy years from the fire in return for the day."
Fasting one day the reward is rewarding you, two thousands of kilometers away from the Fire.
"Whoer spends Lailathal=Qadr in prayer our of faith and in the hope of reward will be forgiven his previous sins."
If you do it completely with all your heart, then his sins will be forgiven, you need to do this for the sake of Allah.
"Whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and in the hope of reward will be forgiven his previous sins."
We don't harm others, if someone harms you then if there is a reason you can fight back.
"There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm."
The messenger of Allah was asked about fasting on the day of 'Ashoora' and he said: "It expiates (the sin of) the past year."
You can fast the tenth or the eleventh.

Qur'an by Sheikh Gabriel Keresztes No. 21
Indeed, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me."
It was not but one shout, and immediately they were extinguished.
Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them will not return?
And indeed, all of them will yet be brought present before Us.
That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful?
And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness.
And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk.
And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride.
But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... "
And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away.
And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error."

The Prophets Legacy by Sheikh Tariq Appleby No. 8
"There is nothing dearer to Allah than supplication."
He does accept the dua if you don't have an intensive, you can't ask Allah to break the ties of family, and don't ask him to grant Haram things, seek the best times to Allah, there are certain times that dua is more accepted, Fridays from 1pm to maghrib, and during solat.
"He has found the taste of faith who is content with Allah as his Lord, Islam is his religion and Muhammad is his Messenger."
Only the person who finds and believe these things, then he will know the sweetness of Imam, how can you know about these things if you know about it,
"Be indifferent towards this world, and Allah will love you. Be indifferent to what is in people's hands, and they will love you."
Only take what you need to go to Jannah, also it means that you don't take Haram things too, if you hang out with people who have things that you don't have, that is not a proper friendship.
"Indeed, Allah is Hayiy [sky, in the manner that is befitting His Majesty], Generous; when a man raises his hands to Him, He feels too shy to return them to His empty and disappointed."
Most of his things he had was Haram, so things we did in our past Allah might not give you your dua accepted, instead of giving something you wanted, he will defend you from a hardship.
"Learn from me your rituals (of Haji)."
Learn about how Prophet Muhammad did HIS Haji, this hadith can also be put in daily life, it is ok to copy the Prophet, we have to do what the prophet does.
"The water of Zamzam is for that for which it is drunk."
Before you drink, make dua, it is like wishing water, so make dua before you drink it.
One person lasted a month just drinking zamzam.
"The best water on the face of the earth is the water of Zamzam; it is a kind of food and a healing from sickness."
It is the best water and it is food because you can just drink Zamzam, and it is a healing water.
"Two phrases which are light on the lips, heavy in the balance and beloved to the Most Merciful: Subhanallahil-'Azeem (Glory and praise be to Allah, glory be to Allah the Almighty.)"
Easy to say and will give you a lot of benefits.
Allah is free of weakness.
Imperfections.
It is like saying Allah is the Best God, and only God.
Subhanallahil-'Azeem Say this a lot.
"Whoever says, (Glory and praise be to Allah), a plan three will be planted for him Paradise."
The palm trees are large and will give riders shade for 500 years, they are much much larger than the ones on this Dunya, the date trees have a variety to trees, the Qur'an is not just given to the Arabs.
"The most beloved of word to Allah are four: Subhanallah, Wal-hamdu Lillah, was la ilaha illallah, was allhu akbar (Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god except Allah, And Allah is most Great). It does not matter with which of them you start.”
You can choose which one you want to do.
"The closed of people to me on the Day of Resurrection will be those who sent the most blessings upon me."
"If I am mention in a person's present, let him snd blessings upon me, for whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will send blessings upon him tenfold."
If you hear the name of the Prophet, if you send blessings to Muhammad, then hearing his name Allah will send blessings tenfold.

The History of Islam by Dr. Yusif Abdul-Jobbar No. 1
Today I learned about the History of Islam.
The greatest civilization that was the greatest in the world, was the Islam.
Madinah was built on justice, fairness, and equality, so many non-Muslims say that the Prophet Muhammad is the best prophet, when he migrated to Madinah, he built the Islamic empire.
One and every four people are Muslims, one-quarter of the population of the world are Muslim, Muslims are a powerful force.
Don't hide about you being a Muslim, Smiling at someone is a form of charity.]
How Malaysians got to being Muslims are, Muslim merchants came through Malaysia and were kind to Malaysians and the Malaysians found out about Islam then became Muslims, Indonesia has the most Muslims in the world, more than Arabia.
The Prophet did not force people to become Muslims.
THEY MADE COFFEE.
EVEN TOOTHBRUSHES.
Also algebra.
After the prophet passed away, one of his follers conquered Jerusalem, when the Muslims were conquering, the Muslims conquered the city for 500 years, but the battle had no bloodshed, the king came and the people were surprised because he had no guards just himself.
Salah Ud Ayyubi was one of the best conquerors of the world.
He lived for 51 years, then he passed away, There was bloodshed in Jerusalem because the Crusaders wanted riches and other things, but Salah took it back and gave power to the Muslims after the fought the Crusaders, Salah gave food to them, the Crusaders were shocked, that their arch enemy was sending food to them.
1000 years of Islamic empire.
